I'm back from my short getaway in Desaru!!! =) I'll update after ample rest! MUAHAHAHAHAHA... I'm elated man - It's the start of my holidays!!!

Here's the update!

Day 1 (26.04.2007)

After our last paper in NTU, the 2 of us travelled to Malaysia alone by ferry and followed by a mini van to the Pulai Beach Resort. The 3 guys were already there in the morning. They enjoyed breakfast while the 2 of us were struggling with our last minute revision and trying our best to churn out intelligent answers for our last papers.

By the time we reached the Sebana Cove jetty, it was already dark. The custom there was like a pretty resort - no high fences, no high technological machines. It was surrounded by nature and many beautiful plants and animals! However, the journey on the mini van was a terrible one. The roads were very dark and the driver drove at a minimum speed of 120km/h. At that time, I was wondering if our lives would be endangered. Haha~ I admit that I'm a paranoid, okay?

The room was better than expected. Bathroom was spacious. The most important thing was that the mirror was outside the bathroom. Haha~ I'm terrified of misty mirror! I guess I've watched too much movies and thus too much hallucination whenever I see a misty mirror. X__X

We had a nice teppanyaki dinner. However, one bowl of rice be it Japanese or their local rice costs 4RM which is around S$1.80. No choice, I was damn hungry at that time. Overall, it was nice. The serving was sufficient and nice.and the service was good. And the staff there actually speak good english! There wont be any communication problem. :) That's why, if you were to ask me to choose between Desaru and Genting, I would like the former though it's more expensive.

After dinner, we played table tennis for 1 hour and headed straight back to the guy's room. They had rented a mahjong table because it was raining in the morning and afternoon. I didnt want to play because they insisted to use money! Knowing that I'll be the one losing, I just sat there and watched TV. I haven been watching TV for quite a long time (since beginning of april) because my TV was spoilt! It's a blessing in disguise as it was spoilt during the exams period. Haha~

Day 2 (27.04.2007)

We went to the Desaru fruit farm on the second day. It was similar to a primary school excursion where you will learn many things on such a trip. And there was a mini animal farm there as well. Many cute animals and there was even ostrich there. Haha~ Here's the photo that I think it's very very nice! It's taken by me of course. :)

I think I'm good with animals. They pose only for me. Haha~

We played tennis in the afternoon. It was damn damn damn hot! My butt was perspiring like mad even though I was sitting in the shade. Luckily I wore a cap, else I would have become a dried tomato.

For dinner, we went for a seafood feast. The shop was recommended by the hotel and the boss came to pick us up from the hotel. This time wasn't a mini van but a car.

A toast for graduation!

After dinner, we went back to the hotel to slack before proceeding with our firefly experience. The journey there was an experience! It was like taking a jeep or all-terrain vehicle! The driver's skills was great. He's also the receptionist. So the staff there can really multi-task well, which benefits the company too. Haha~

The trip was not bad. It would be excellent if we had the whole boat to ourselves. We shared the boat with another big family. They were talking loudly and consistently shouting for their kids. Okay, I feel that their kids doesnt know how to behave themselves and their parents doesnt know how to control their kids. Period. Anyway, there were many stars in the sky and the moon was very bright. Nice! Unfortunately, you cant find such a scene anywhere in Singapore. There were lots of fireflies too. Pretty! Haha~ We managed to catch one and let it free when we finished admiring it.

We went ktv-ing after the trip. The songs are really obsolete. Haha~ It was an open lounge and if you want to sing you have to sing in front of everyone. My throat is itching now! I wanna go ktv!!! Anyone interested?! :)

After ktv, Lynn said she wanted to watch sunrise. So we woke up at 5am? I cant remember the time. Waited till around 5 plus 6am before it started to drizzle. Haha~ Before this we were wondering if we could see the sunrise at the beach. When it started to drizzle, we went back to our room and concussed. I heard rain splashing on the balcony so it must have rained heavily. Haha~

Day 3 (28.04.2007)

We had the last breakfast buffet there and I ate many many pancakes. Haha~ Though it wasn't the McDonald's standard but it was still not bad. *slurpe* I made kaya toast as well but the bread was burnt on one side. It was nice too! After breakfast, we went back to our room to slack and pack as we had to check out at noon.

We explored the Desaru beach after checking out. Here's some pretty pictures to share:

Behind us is the custom. Really looks like a resort right? Haha~ Too bad I can take a photo of the Singapore custom.

I'm just loading part of the pictures because it takes me too much time to reduce the size and load it on photobucket. I'm waiting for my friend to compile and upload to a website. I'll provide you all the link when it's up and ready!

Ooo... Now I'm going to look forward to my Vietnam trip.

One last day to go!!! =) I'm still not studying much but I'm not worried at all... Haha~ I'll be going to Desaru immediately after my exams and will be back on the 28th. Yeah! And I'm going to GRADUATE loh!

2 + 6 + 4 + 2 + 3 = 17
I've been studying for 17 years of my life. (O.0) I wonder how many examinations have I taken?!

I'll definitely MISS SCHOOL LIFE- falling asleep during lecture, stone during tutorials, lunching with my friends & classmates, school holidays, mrt & bus concessions, cheap food in school canteen, sleep till u shiok, msn-ing, youtubing, spreeing, shopping during weekdays etc. HOWEVER, I'll NEVER miss preparing for exams - it's just a living hell as time is never sufficient due to the activities as mentioned above. (@_@)

Okay, I shall finish up my youtube HK drama and get started with my mugging! I told myself to put in my best effort in studying the last module, but I ended up not doing it. Haha~ There's simply too much temptations! And I haven even packed my luggage! Today's a busy day!!! Bye bye Singapore and Hi Desaru! Muahahahaha~ I'm a bit high today and will be even higher tomorrow!

Hey everyone, I've found a handphone case & accessories supplier at Bugis(all thanks to my friend lamly)! Haha~ Silicone case costs about $10 outside $4 more expensive can!!! I got one for my Nokia 6280 (sliding phone) for $6 and another normal one for $4. iPod case costs $6 each too! Those handphone strap (something like a leather strap) costs only $2! And also crystal screen protector costs $4. Luckily I didnt get e $10 silicon case man!!! Haha~ Anyway, this shop is located at above Bugis NTUC. The short building opposite OG and in between the 170 bus interchange. =)

My interest now is to look for cheap bargains!!! Haha~ I think I'm efficient enough to become a spree organiser but they only earn $0.50 for handling the spree items. Don't have enough monetary incentives so I'll just participate in sprees - save my time and effort!

Yeah, I finally cleared my core paper (AB311 - Strategic Management) and one General elective paper (HE307 - The Chinese Economy)! Both require a significant amount of "crapping" & "smoking" skills. For the 2nd paper, I came out of the exam hall 45 minutes earlier. I really didnt have anything more to write. I wrote all that I had studied and could remember at that point in time. Haha! I wanted to get it over and done with it, pass can already lah. The guy who sat beside me threw me a sianz look and frequently looked at my paper. I didnt see him during lecture, so probably that's the reason why I'm writing faster than him. Haha~ It pays to be attentive during lecture and tutorials!

I'm going to study hard for my last GE!!! I finally realised that studying can be fun too. If and only if you have plenty of time to study for just one module. But this condition doesn't exist most of the time for most people.

Anyway, I was rather free after exams and a question came to my mind. Do we have control over our lives? In my humble opinion, I think we might have a minimal level of control. For example, to study hard for exams, to exercise more often, to control our diet, to commit suicide.

However, if you were to think from another angle, like what if you decide to commit suicide and you dont die? And you study hard but you just dont have the intelligence to study smart and you still end up failing?

Probably we can control what we want to actions we want to perform but the end results would be fated? Maybe we can say that we are able to decide whether we want to live with or without regrets. By choosing to study hard and put in a significant amount of hard work, one would most probably not regret even though one ended up failing the paper. And if one were to commit suicide and not die, one would probably regret choosing suicide as a way to escape from all problems.

Well, I dont think I would be able to derive any answer. Maybe when we die, we'll be able to know the truth. So, dont do things that you know you will regret. The last thing that you want to achieve is probably to live your life with regrets.

Oh, it's 2am already!!! I wonder why I dont feel tired being online. But when I see my notes and tutorials, my eyes just want to close and brain wants to shut down. Anyway, time to go to bed and recharge myself for tomorrow's studying session!!! Good night my dear friends!

One of my friends introduced me to this Visual DNA Test. I think the analysis is rather true for my case. I'm not sure if it's true for the others as well.
If you are interested then proceed on to the webpag listed below:

P.S: The pics are rather big. If it's too small then u can't read the words! No choice.

Here's my analysis:

Fun: I agree! That's why I choose Vietnam for my grad trip. It's the experience that is the most vaulable! I'm impatient too, so that's probably why I'll stamp my foot when things dont quite go my way.

Habits: Yeah, I like my life to be simple & stylish as well!

Summary:

I'm an easy rider - always take life how it comes, and living in the moment. They don't get faced by life... they just become through.

[Yup, I always think that our lives are like people in a centrally planned economy. All events in our lives are already carefully crafted even before we begin our journey in the pathetic planet called Earth.]

I'm New Wave Puritan - They are strict, organised and ever so neat - they practice the art of self-discipline. They like things done simply but with an eye for detail.

[TRUE! I'm strict, organised and neat! =) Though there's one thing that I'm not strict with - the things that I put in my mouth and the frequency of exercise that I do! Haha~]

I'm an escape artist - They are forever slipping off, getting away from the rat race, and recharging those batteries. Independent, thoughtful - they know themselves well.

[Yah, I hate getting into competition with others. I agree that I'm independent and thoughtful... Haha~]

I'm a love bug - They are the type to fall in love a thousand times a day. Their feelings snowball quickly, and they are full of passion.

[All I can say that this is quite true... ]

Happy Belated Birthday Neo Neo!
And a happy birthday to CK!

We celebrated CK's birthday this morning at around 12 midnight. And as usual, it was a neighbourhood kind of celebration. Haha~ Yah, cos it's the examination period, so she's thankful that there's even a celebration. :) Diana got bio-ed by some disgusting guy. He was really disgusting. According to CK, he was looking towards our direction and his fingers was touching his lips at the same time. Yucks! Anyway, our "temporary rich" Diana bought 3 pieces of cake - choco, mango and banana choco.

Here's some photos:

Today's my last lesson in NTU as an undergraduate. Definitely not my last lesson in life. There's so much more to learn in life and it's so much more interesting. I hate reading books. And I'm forced to read so many readings and textbooks throughout my 3 years of university life! Yucks! I had ended my last day in NTU by collecting my new matriculation card today. Generally, freshies will collect their card on the 1st day of school. I'm SPECIAL! Hahaha~ Ok lah, it's cos our batch's cards are of poor quality. So the school, out of GOODWILL (how dare they say such things), offered to replace our "peeling" cards. Ok, I admit that I peeled out my card so as to get it replaced! Hahaha~ But who cares?! Some of them got the new white and red card. It's so ugly, they are sway loh. But mine's the yellow card with the ntu building behind. Nice, though I think they stretched my face more this time. Boo!

Here's the card:

Anyways, I had mixed feelings of going for my last tutorial. I will definitely miss the schooling days. School life definitely has less of worries, rivalry and politics. The only thing that we're scared of is the semi-annual exams that we have to go through. The horrible and torturous "mugging period". Sometimes, we will have our papers the week following the last tutorial. This always leaves us with insufficient time to study! Bloody hell! However, I'm glad that we are all able to cross these extremely high hurdles and come to where we are today.

Oh, not to mention, there's the TERRIFYING process of CHECKING RESULTS. I think my heart rate is always more than 200 beats per minute the moment my school mates sms me to inform me that results were released. Maybe if my heart could run, it would be faster than those F1 racing care! Zoom!!! Wahaha~ Yeah, it's so scary (at least to me)!

Yah, and how can I not mention the semi-annual "fastest finger" subject registration process! 30 seconds before the stipulated timing, all of us would be clicking the "add subject" button continuously and furiously. And of course, the system never fails to jam or hang during subject registration, causing us further agony. Cursing and swearing would be inevitable. And also when we cant get the electives that we wanted, we would email the relevant people and bombard them till they add the subjects for us. Yah, the UNDERTABLE METHOD is so much more efficient than the conventional method.

Oh and my short stint in HALL 11. I have to admit that I couldnt adapt to hall life, the expensive hall fees and 20 cents per trip shuttle bus (NTU used to charge 20 cents per shuttle bus trip when I was in year 1). Ok, I'm a person who cannot survive anywhere else except my home sweet home! It's nice staying with Janice, but just that I wasnt used to stay away from home then. Great experience too! My apologies to Janice!

3 years had gone past so swiftly, so much so that I think I'm still not prepared for the real corporate world! (x_x) Maybe I'll start having sleepless nights a few weeks before I start work?

Wow, it's so late already. I better get down to study loh!!! I shall upload some pictures when I'm free... =)

This post is a tribute for my dearest little goldfishes. They had been with me for more than 1 year. All but one passed away one after another, after my dad changed their water. I'm puzzled by their sudden death. =( Maybe my fishes liked the dirty water rather than clean water?

The sole survivor is not eating its food and doesnt want to socialise with me! I sympathise with this sole survivor. Watching his friends die one by one isn't a good thing. May the force be with the sole survivor! And may the rest rest in peace.

As you can see from the pic, the one slated was the first fish to pass away. He was my favourite fish. Whenever I walk pass the fish tank, he will swim around hoping that we'll feed him. I miss the days with him around.

I didnt expect myself to be going for so many trips this year. Ok, it's just 2 trips. I've a friend who is going for 4... Muahaha~ It's the last time where I can be so carefree. Responsibilities will start accumulating once I start work! Total sianz!

Anyway I'll be going to Desaru on 26th April 2007 (after my last paper) and will be back on 28th April. =) Next, I'll be going to Vietnam, Hanoi. I'll be leaving on 10th June 2007 (anyone wanna send me off? Haha~) and will be coming back on 17th June 2007.

I shall look forward to all my trips and hopefully they will serve as a motivation to study harder for exams! =)

Let's study hard together!!! Counting down to my last paper which is on 26th April!!! =D

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.
